The communications tower designed by Santiago Calatrava was one of the landmarks of Barcelona in 1992. The extensive silhouette of the Montjuic mountain was changed forever in that instance, re-urbanised for the celebration of the Olympic Games and the city in general. Its spectacular design has turned it, much like the Palau Sant Jordi, into one of the constructions that anticipates the city’s future in the present day.
